Work with Us

If you'd like to be part of what we are building.

As it grows, in ways that emerge — this is where to start.

What this page is, and what it isn't.

We do not currently have a public job board. We are a small and growing program, and most of our team and contributor base has come to us through relationships rather than postings. As we scale, that will change — but not yet.

What we do want, very much, is to know the people whose intentions are aligned with ours. So this page exists to gather expressions of interest from those who'd like to be part of our work in some way: as future faculty, as professional contributors, as advisors, as volunteers, or in ways we haven't yet thought to ask for. When something opens up that matches what you've shared with us, we'll be in touch.

If that sounds honest enough to you, please write to us below.

Examples, not vacancies

What we typically look for.

These are the kinds of contributions we have needed in the past and will likely need again. If your situation doesn't fit cleanly into one of these — write anyway. Some of our most valuable contributors arrived through routes we hadn't yet imagined.

Faculty and curriculum contributors

Senior practitioners, scholars, and former civic leaders who can teach a module, design a learning arc, or contribute lived experience to specific topics: integral leadership, regenerative city development, sustainable infrastructure, citizen engagement, public finance, climate resilience, urban systems thinking.

Professional craft contributors

Designers, frontend and full-stack developers, writers, translators, video editors, podcast producers, and other professionals whose work helps us communicate clearly and operate well. We particularly value contributors who bring their craft to mission-driven work and operate well in a small, distributed team.

Advisory and strategic figures

Senior practitioners who can advise on a specific area — accreditation, public-sector partnerships, fundraising, faculty curation, organisational development — without taking on operational responsibility. Time commitment is typically light and meaningful.

Volunteers

People who don't want money in return and want to contribute time, energy, and skill to the mission. We respect that this is its own kind of relationship and we treat it carefully.

Co-founders of Living Cities Earth

Long-term contributors to the wider movement of which the Global Mayors Academy is part. The LCE community currently includes more than 125 co-founders across 30+ regions. We grow it carefully and through relationship.

People not yet sure of their shape

Mid-career professionals considering a mission shift, recently retired senior figures, people whose lives are turning and want to know whether ours might be one of the places they turn toward. You're welcome here.
