We would rather you came to this program because you want to, and left it because it was finished. Everything below exists so that money is never the reason you hesitate, and never the reason you resent us afterwards.
Your place is transferable. If you cannot come and you know someone who should, send them instead - at no cost, up to 48 hours before the program begins. Write to contact@globalmayors.academy with their name and email address and we will handle the rest.
Cancel at any time up to 23:59 on 26 August 2026 and we return the full amount you paid. No reason required, no questions asked, no deduction.
That is three days before the program and two days before the first included experience. We hold the window open that late deliberately: plans change, and we would rather you told us honestly than came reluctantly.
From 27 August onwards, our costs for your place are committed - the venue, the catering, the materials and your places on the included experiences are all booked against a confirmed number, with local partners who have already been paid.
From this point we offer:
The credit is for the full amount you paid. We would rather keep our commitment to you than keep your money.
Come to Day One. If, by the end of it, you do not believe the program was worth what you paid - tell us before Day Two begins.
We will give you a full credit for the amount you paid, valid for twelve months across any Global Mayors Academy program, and transferable to a colleague. You keep the day, and you owe us nothing further.
No form. No conditions. No deduction. You tell any member of the GMA team in the room, and it is authorised that evening.
We will ask you what did not work - not to talk you out of it, but because it is the most valuable information anyone can give us. What you receive does not depend on your answer.
If Global Mayors Academy cancels the program or changes the dates, you choose: a full refund, or your place on the new dates.
We are not able to reimburse travel or accommodation, so we recommend booking flexible fares and considering travel insurance. We will give you as much notice as we possibly can.
You book your own travel and accommodation. Marmaris sits along a single road with the hotels along it, so everything is minutes from the venue and you can choose freely to suit your budget - we will send suggestions with your joining instructions.
Entry requirements are your responsibility. Turkey is visa-free for many nationalities, but please check the requirements for your own passport well in advance. If a visa is refused despite a timely application, write to us - we will treat it under section 3 and find the right answer with you.
Pamukkale, the Turkish Night and the Mediterranean cruise are included in your registration and operated by independent local partners. Global Mayors Academy makes them available as a benefit but is not their organiser and accepts no liability for their operation; participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
They carry no separate charge, so there is nothing separate to refund. If an operator cancels an experience, we will pass on whatever refund the operator provides; your program fee is unaffected.
Places for family members are booked and paid separately, at least one week before the event, and are refundable only on the terms of the operator running them.
Refunds are returned to the card or account used for the original payment, normally within five to ten working days. If you paid on behalf of someone else or as an organisation, the refund goes back to the original payer.
