We gather in Turkey, at the historic meeting point of Europe and Asia. Convenient flights from many cities across the region and the wider world, visa-free entry for travellers from many countries, and a warm sea close by. A land where civilisations, trade routes, and worldviews have met and negotiated for millennia, a fitting ground for two days of work on how a leader understands and works with perspectives beyond their own.
Beyond the «Leadership Edge» program itself and the exchange with participants and faculty from around the world, you will be offered a unique program of rest in some of the most beautiful places in this part of the world.

Marmaris sits where the mountains meet the Mediterranean, on Türkiye's beautiful southwest coast. Surrounded by pine forests, clear waters and a cultural history stretching back thousands of years, it has long been a place where people from different cultures and continents meet, a meeting point between Europe and Asia, between ancient wisdom and modern life, between reflection and renewal. That is why we chose to host this Leadership Edge program here.
Leadership is demanding work, and meaningful transformation rarely emerges while we remain immersed in the environments that constantly demand our attention. Sometimes the greatest gift is the space to step outside our familiar context, to think more clearly, connect more deeply, and rediscover what truly matters. Marmaris offers precisely that, and the setting itself becomes part of the learning.

Every optional experience below is included for Leadership Edge participants. You are welcome to join all of them, some of them, or simply attend the two training days. Family members are warmly welcome to join too, at the prices shown.
An unforgettable full day at Pamukkale, one of Türkiye's UNESCO World Heritage Sites, famous for its white travertine terraces and the ancient city of Hierapolis. An early departure from Marmaris, a sunrise balloon flight, then free time to explore the terraces and Hierapolis, and, if you wish, a swim in the Cleopatra Thermal Pool before lunch and the return.
Prefer not to fly? Join the excursion and spend the extra time exploring Pamukkale. Entrance fees (for example Cleopatra's Pool) and personal purchases are payable separately.
After the first day of Leadership Edge, a memorable Turkish Night: a chance to keep connecting with fellow participants while experiencing the music, cuisine and traditions of Türkiye.
After two inspiring days, unwind with a relaxed cruise along the Marmaris coastline, through some of the region's most beautiful bays and islands, with plenty of time to swim, snorkel, sunbathe, or simply relax on board.
Family members are very welcome to join the optional experiences at the prices shown. To arrange this with our local partners, family members must be registered and paid for at least one week before the event.
All optional excursions and cultural experiences in Marmaris are provided and operated by independent third-party tour operators. The Global Mayors Academy is pleased to make these experiences available as an additional benefit for participants, but is not the organiser or operator of these excursions and accepts no responsibility or liability for their operation.
