Paddy is an Integral Coach, psychologist, and long-time activist dedicated to the evolution of consciousness and healing across self, culture, and systems. Her work bridges wisdom traditions and modern developmental theory, drawing on African spiritual knowledge and practical tools for change. A contributing faculty member at Meridian University, University of Cape Town, and the Da Vinci Institute, Paddy has founded multiple centers supporting teachers, families, medical practitioners, and communities, and continues to hold space for deep learning, healing, and post-apartheid integration through the McGregor Wisdom School.

A developmental strategist and global reference point in whole person, whole system learning, Dr. Paddy Pampallis plays a central role in shaping the City Leaders Program at GMA. As program architect and faculty lead on internal leadership, she designs the integrative spine of the learning journey — helping city leaders grow in presence, discernment, and adaptive capacity.

A systems scientist, futurist, and architect of transformational governance, Dr. Anneloes Smitsman leads the design of GMA’s Core Module, “Learning from Best Practices Around the World.” This foundational module prepares city leaders to explore and adapt global innovations responsibly— from regenerative governance to responsible AI — and apply them contextually. It frames the elective modules that follow, helping leaders discern what works, why it works, and how to implement it in ways aligned with the deeper needs of their cities and the ecosystem they are a part of.

As Founder and CEO of the EARTHwise Ecosystem and co-founder of Living Cities Earth, Anneloes is globally recognised for advancing systemic transformation through collective intelligence, AI innovation, and living systems design. Her initiatives — including the EARTHwise Constitution for a Planetary Civilization, the Participatory Framework for an AGI Constitution, and the strategy game Elowyn: Quest of Time — offer powerful examples of how human and technological systems can co-evolve for the wellbeing of people and planet.

Barbara Bulc is the Founder and President of Global Development (GD), a global collaboratory and consultancy focused on disrupting siloed thinking and advancing systems change in health, food, education, and the environment. With more than 25 years of leadership experience across Europe, the U.S., Africa, and Asia, she has worked at the intersection of business, diplomacy, youth engagement, and culture to co-create a more equitable and sustainable future. She is also the founder of SDG CoLab and Art4Action, and an Ambassador for Reboot the Future.

Barbara has worked for and advised leading global institutions, including the World Health Organization, the United Nations Innovation Working Group (which she co-founded), and the Clinton Foundation. She is the lead author of Engaging Young People for Health and Sustainable Development — a landmark WHO report — and a co-creator of OurCity, a Fondation Botnar initiative supporting intermediary cities in building collective capacity for youth wellbeing. Her work champions the role of youth, cities, technology, and culture as catalysts for collaborative systems transformation.

Often described as a "social chemist," Barbara holds a PhD in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Ljubljana, along with executive business training from Columbia Business School and leadership education from Cambridge Judge Business School. She is currently an Adjunct Professor of Leadership Development at Franklin University in Geneva. Based in Geneva, she continues to build bridges between art, science, policy, and civic life to redefine leadership and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

As CEO of Living Cities Earth and a lifelong advocate for equitable futures, she brings a unique integrative lens: entangled development across personal, social, and planetary spheres. Her design work within GMA helps shift leadership paradigms—from control to co-creation, and from extraction to regeneration.

His work stretches across eco-village development, sociocratic organising, finance reform, and neighbourhood-scale democracy. He’s co-founded or led organisations including A
Fairer Society, CTRL Shift, Sociocratic Networks in the UK & Europe and Living Cities Earth — always with the focus on unlocking capacity and capability in communities and making the transformation of their places something all citizens can and must be a part of.

Lev Gordon first asked the question that sparked GMA’s City Leaders Program: What would it take to offer mayors and city leaders a development experience as powerful as the best in the world but with more humanity, more grounded in real world applications, and more collaborative? That question has shaped the Academy’s vision and early program architecture and it continues to echo through the evolution of GMA and the programs being developed.

Drawing on decades of experience designing civic leadership programs across Russia, Europe, and Post Soviet Union Countries, Lev brings a unique blend of systemic insight and practical design. His earlier work, rooted in cities, lived complexity, and executive development, have laid the foundations for many of the methodologies now woven into GMA’s curriculum.

Lev’s practice is informed by 30 years of global experience: shaping $40B platforms at ING, coaching multinational teams and leading large-scale business initiatives in 35 countries, and drawing insight from life and work in global cities such as Amsterdam, London, Paris, and New York. He has also launched numerous civic and educational initiatives throughout Europe and the post-Soviet region.

As principal co-founder of Living Cities Earth, he champions regenerative futures across 10,000 cities, helping leaders step into a deeper form of success and impact. Today, he contributes as a program architect, module designer, collaborator, and thought partner, helping to shape learning experiences that expand presence, grow leadership maturity, and translate deep insight into real-world transformation.

Andy Ferguson has been working with people and their performance for nearly four decades, first on the sales floor, then in the mountains as a ski instructor and expedition leader, before moving into personal, professional and leadership development work across corporate, civic and public sectors.

He’s coached, taught and designed learning experiences for thousands across Europe, the US and Africa, helping leaders stay steady under pressure, grow through complexity, and make their contribution without losing themselves. His approach is shaped by field experience and tuned to what helps people lead well in the real world.

At GMA, Andy helps shape the learning arc of the program, co-designs core modules and supports the integrity of the learning journey. His role is to keep the work connected to what matters, what works, and what’s needed now.

GMA Elective Module Designer

Urban Designer since 1975. Dutch architect-urbanist, founder of Architectural Center Eindhoven and the City as a LAB studio and the main person behind Eindhoven’s transformation from an industrial to innovative city. Cees has extensive experience in urban development and is also a social architect and urban environment designer.

Donkers works with urban questions about transformation, the re-use of leftover parts of the city to start new breeding places and creative economy. His passion is to inspire a new generation of professionals and young innovative designers to work on a new positive future.

His most notable projects are City as a LAB (E+) program since 2000 (cooperation City- University); NERU-studio since 2010 (cooperation with Russia); QASE urban studio since 2015. Transformation masterplan WESTCORRIDOR: 5 former PHILIPS factory sites and other RE-USE urbanism results.
